I studied Graphic Design at Montana State University while getting a BS in Range Management.

After graduating, I worked for an engineering extension program called the Local Technical Assistance Program where I published a quarterly newsletter, writing articles and illustrating everything from heavy equipment to noxious weeds. I also edited and did the design, illustration and layout of several "how-to" books including The Motor Grader Operator's Handbook. I also did all the drawing, design and layout of the Montana Department of Transportation Guidelines for Work Zone Safety: Guidelines for Municipalities, Utilities, and Maintenance October 1994.

After my son was born in 1994, I decided life was too short, and became a stay-at-home mom. All that free time I thought I was going to have was quickly taken up by homeschooling, dog training, horse training, running a dog training business, vending toys and training equipment at agility trials, and now returning to graphic design with a new emphasis on website design.

On a volunteer basis, I have designed and maintained several websites for dog clubs, including the Gallatin Dog Club, Got Dog? Agility, the Big Sky Schutzhund Club and the Pacific Northwest Region of the United Schutzhund Clubs of America.

I am currently developing an online store with SSL, and a complete shopping cart based on osCommerce. In my spare time I am learning to become conversant in php.

My design philosophy, just like my love of performance dogs and horses, is "form follows function". I am enlivened by clean, attractive graphics. I don't like black screens with red text, or music, or too many animated graphics. I do like easy navigation and interesting content. Pages should load quickly, even for those few of us still on a dial-up connection. Finally, I am working towards having all my sites W3C compliant.

If you share the same appreciation for clean, fast and attractive, please give me a call. I can help you design your own website, one that you can be proud of.
